Some of the main spices produced in South India are cardamom, nutmeg, cloves and pepper. . The main food of locals of the region including some Brahmin communities in south is rice which is best served with Sambhar or curry. South Indian food became papular across the globe, particularly for delightful dishes like Dosa, Vada, Idli, Uttapam and Sambar. South Indian food mainly includes menu of five South Indian states namely Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, along with different local menu within these states.
